Retired: At Timber Ridge we believe in retiring our dogs from the breeding program and giving them their best lives as both working dogs and family one and only dogs where they are the center of everything. Some of Doreen’s dogs choose not to live with families outside of Timber Ridge and they tell Doreen this by refusing to accept the life a person Doreen chooses for them. These dogs live out their lives having the run of the farm during the day and her house. They are indulged and adored by horse boarders and visitors to the farm, but especially by Doreen.

Tarra Vepeden (dob 5-5-15) OFA 0/0Tarra is retired from TR and lives like a star with Doreen’s brother in Old Orchard Beach.

Remembered: These beloved dogs are Timber Ridge’s legacy. Doreen Metcalf adores her German shepherds and insures the best lives for each and every one every day of her own life. She never takes a day off, never has taken a vacation, never eaten her own breakfast without her dogs eating theirs first. There is no one more devoted to German shepherds and raising happy dogs than Doreen and these dogs are as much a part of her as they are of Timber Ridge’s history.
